Ron Brown
Ron Brown has served as Director of Gift Planning for Princeton University, United Way of America, the National Wildlife Federation, Fordham University, and from July 2015 to the present, Senior Philanthropic Advisor for Gift Planning at Columbia University. He serves as a Board member, a member of the Rates Committee, and chair of the Research Committee for the American Council on Gift Annuities (ACGA); he wrote the national Gift Annuity Survey Reports in 2014 and 2010. He is a board member of the Philanthropic Planning Group of Greater New York and a member of the Planned Giving Advisory Council for the Lilly Family School of Philanthropy, the Planned Giving Advisory Committee for Princeton University, and the CANARAS Gift Planning Council.

About Us
Previously Ron served as a board member of the National Committee on Planned Giving (now the Partnership for Philanthropic Planning), President of the Gift Planning Council of New Jersey, founding chair of LEAVE A LEGACY® New Jersey, and the board of the ALS Association of SE Pennsylvania. He is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) as well as a decorated Navy historian, a graduate of Princeton University (AB 1972) and the University of Chicago (MA 1977).
Ron wrote a chapter on family philanthropy for a book by CASE (Council for Advancement and Support of Education) entitled From Donor to Philanthropist: The Value of Donor Education in Creating Confident, Joyful Givers (published October 2013), and has published numerous articles on gift planning. He has been a member of the Editorial Board of Planned Giving Today and a frequent speaker at professional conferences, for which he asks only for travel expense reimbursement.
